About this item
Altered Beast is a 1988 beat 'em up developed by Team Shinobi and published by Sega for arcades. Set in Ancient Greece, it follows a Roman centurion resurrected by Zeus to rescue Athena from Neff, ruler of the underworld. Collecting three power-ups transforms the player into one of five mythical beasts, and the game was the pack-in title for the Genesis in North America.
